Believe it or not, I am not reading this although it sounds like I am. I was shooting from the hip plus I'm camera shy.

Welcome Fellow Investors
Greetings:
Although I am not very photogenic and loathed being filmed, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself in a more personal manner. Yes..., I am a real person and not some fake shylock sitting at a computer in the dark wearing boxers and a wife-beater somewhere in Nebraska. I am a regular person who may possess a bit more experience and knowledge concerning investments but at the start of the day I put my pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. All this to say that no one especially myself, can be 100% infallible when it comes to evaluating investor sentiment and market data. If I am batting a 64% average, I'm ecstatic. For this reason, my investment strategies always include a hedge to mitigate that remaining 36% potential risk. I think this is where a lot of investors and day traders go wrong. Notice I differentiate between the two. They go with a few strategies that have them all over the place and it is all about speculation more so than investing. At the end of the year, most realize they had more losses than wins or barely broke even. My philosophy is to get the money now while positioning yourself for the residual income. Yes, I BELIEVE in the power of OPTIONS! Options have been very very good to me! They are not to be feared or hated but to be embraced once you come to fully understand their reason for existing in the first place. Most investors would state that options are the hedge against equity positions. I say equity positions are the hedge against options. It takes too much time and research to pick great stocks all the time. However, I could simply sell a put with a covered call and a have limit order on the stock to just about guarantee a minimum 6% gain. Ten positions like that a month means a lot of deposits into the retirement account and a trip to the Caribbean by the end of the quarter. I packed this site with a ton of information on helping you to be more informed than before. I will continually update some of the sections like Understanding Value with the latest metrics and methods. It seems every so often to calculate EV (earned value) changes and the verdict of whether to use EV for asset or securities valuation is still out. Either way, please don't hesitate to offer your own thoughts and opinions and correct me when I am wrong. We are all students and never stop learning.
